Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had an extremely difficult childhood. At the age of two, her mother ran away in order to escape an abusive relationship. Her return to Pickler's life in 1995 and was given custody of her. But it didn't take place as expected. After Pickler aged twelve, the court sent her to her maternal grandparents which raised her to adulthood. In the absence of their parents Pickler got too involved in as a mother to her children.
