Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of her two appearances on Roseanne. Her parents, however, were not keen to let her perform until she turned older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was a shy teenager and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness caused her to move to California and she returned working in the stage. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on the ABC Political thriller Scandal which starred her father. The same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother as a young version. Despite having a family connection to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
